Nope again all phones use screen as main heatsink. Chassis is poor at dissipating heat compared to the screen since most of it is not exposed to the outside. Youd know if you looked at the soc placement.

Te chassis is the main heatsink in nearly every flagship I can think of besides the ones with active cooling.

What are you going on about this 'original comment' now? It doesnt matter if the body is steel or titanium or plastic all phones use the screen as the main heatsink.

Spreading the heat with a vapor chamber must be surely better than the aluminum that wouldve been there. Otherwise they wouldnt replace the cheap aluminum with an expensive vapor chamber. Its not just cheap phones even the ultra phones have them. Every big screen smartphone uses screen as the heatsink since the cpu is facing the screen. Sure but one of them is better and im sure the chinese would know which one is.

The vapor chamber just spread the heat out as quickly as possible, same as the graphene. The material choice that the phone manufacture chooses to get that heat out of the phone from the vapor chamber or the graphene is the most important choice.

Not so much for regular phones, chinese using these vapor chambers for a long time now. Its just there in place of the aluminum midframe.

1989, 13 Mar 2025Vapor chamber helps even plastic phones.A vapor chamber is a downgrade from what they currently use. I worded it weird in my last comment but the real thermal problem is the materials used in the chassis. The use of stainless and titanium is counter productive to trying to cool down a phone, they are the worst materials to transfer heat through.
Looks like another differentiator Apple are using purely because they can. We see vapour chambers on Redmagic phones that aren't particularly expensive, while the non-Pro will likely never run anything more intensive than TikTok or whatever people watch these days it's still unnecessary from a cost perspective.
It's like 8GB RAM base on a 4 figure laptop when RAM is one of the few things that is still cheap (in fairness they just reversed this without charging extra) and the 60hz screen when even if they want to maintain a different 90hz wouldn't cost them much.

A vapor chamber will not help one single bit if they keep using the titanium or stainless on the exterior of their phones. They have used graphene for so long for a heatsink and all it does is make the skin temp of the phone so hot that its unbearable to hold. Go back to aluminum housings Apple! And get rid of the dumb all glass back.

iH8allFanboys, 13 Mar 2025That would be incredible if they get that close and honestly a win But I SEVERLY doubt thateh i was just makin an optimistic estimation and it's not like the s24 ultra was winning any awards for its cooling.
