Anonymous, 12 Mar 2025Kind of a shame, but the EU version would probably have cost €2000 and have a 1000mAh battery ... moreYeah! we shall blame it on the import duty tax, paperworks and lots of regulatory req. that cost them a fortune which of course will be billed to the customer.
Why isn't Xiaomi banned like Huawei?
They are better than Samsung and Apple.
Xiaomi makes global versions.

AnonF-1061058, 13 Mar 2025Tbh I will never understand with this FuntouchOS hate lmfao. I legitly prefer FuntouchOS over ... moreVivo has been trimming down FunTouch since the Vivo V20, where most of the devices came with Stock Android until May 2021. Their current UI and Motorola's Hello UI aren't that different (except for custom icons and Jovi Lifestyle for FunTouch, whereas Hello UI retains Moto Actions). The only thing they need to improve is avoiding pre-installed bloatware, because Nokia/HMD is yet unmatched in that regard.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2025Those with dol hdr can use as default 3 exposures.
Anyway, vivonis cutting costs. Ehy pp... moreDOL-HDR captures multiple frames at different exposure settings and combines them into one, the only difference between this and a "regular" HDR stacking is that the former starts exposing for the next frame before it finishes reading out the previous one, whereas the latter waits for each exposure to run to the end.
TCG reads out a single frame in three different conversion gain settings. While the maximum DR achieved with this method wouldn't be as high as the one with DOL-HDR, it is *significantly* better for live preview (since there is no frame stacking involved), and there is no risk of ghosting or frame fusion artifacts, either.
Sony had never created a mobile phone sensor with triple conversion gains. LYT-818 is the first one to do it.
"Ehy ppl here cannot accept this fact?"
You're the one who has always been complaining about how having a type 1 sensor with a 35mm full-frame equivalent lens would make a phone too thick lol. Vivo is getting around this by using a smaller sensor.
Personally, I don't mind having a larger camera bump, but I don't quite understand why *you* are against this.

But different people different taste.
I am a stock android fan.
Pure simplicity was always my forte.
Having tons of preinstalled apps in phone is a big no.
For example why to have in a phone samsung brownswer and a google chrome at a same time also a google search if one is more than enough for example chrome. No need for others which doing same thing and apart costring some space and asking for frequent updates does not do anything extra worthy.
Same example can be used for many else UI apps from many else UIs.
Stock android have everything no need to have same app doing same thing from your brand of your choice. Like having twice notes, twice calendar, twwice calculator etc.
Thats why i prefer stock android over anything else.
For a simplicity.
Less bloated phone, faster response and more disk space for other things like photos, videos etc. More ram will be left, more disk space, user gets better endurance because less apps will be run on backround etc.
But its up to each user what he likes.
Motorola is my favorite brand or Nothing or Oneplus for either a stock android or near stock android in Nothing UI and Oxygen OS.

For me, best chinese UI is ColorOS, which is my number 2 favorite. But OneUI is just best. But still, one hundred people, one hundred taste.
I also prefer Funtouch OS over One UI and even over Oxygen OS from my previous phone. I installed nova prime launcher anyway which I customize as I like.

It doesn't quite *beat* LYT-900 in terms of the SNR, but for sure it puts up a good fight against a sensor that is over 70% larger physically.
Also, as I mentioned previously, the differences in ISPs between Dimensity and Snapdragon should be taken into account - The latter is generally better at removing noises (both luminance or chroma) efficiently.
Its vivos and oppo's loss as the xiaomi 15 ultra is sold out in the UK as of now apart from the max storage size, hence they were rewarded with all the profits etc
